I never thought I’d say this, but I wish I had a day job so I could hoard blazers and cardigans. Well okay, being in an office makes me miserable, and all the opportunities to dress up won’t ever make me return to a cubicle. Still, I hate having to pass up on all these adorable blazers at ukays, so we’re selling a bunch of them at Ukay Manila this week! Let me share my top three picks.
Violet Rose Velvet Blazer
I love the rich color and overall glam attitude of this piece; this blazer would fit right in a rock star’s wardrobe. Off the top of my head, I’d wear this with a studded tunic, my lace leggings, and Soule Phenomenon boots. What would you wear with this blazer?
Orange and Yellow Geometric Jacket
It’s usually safe to stick to basic colors when buying jackets, but after spending three weeks in San Francisco covered in a boring black coat, I realized that there’s nothing wrong with bright pops of color on your outerwear. Hence, this blazer. I couldn’t resist the fun geometric pattern, and it’s light enough to be worn for what passes for cold weather in the Philippines.
Beige and Gold Double-Breasted Swing Jacket
This gorgeous jacket looks like it was taken right from the wardrobe of Mad Men; it’s as pristine, perfect, and feminine as the women’s fashion of the early 1950s. I’d wear this with skinny jeans and clogs, or maybe a fitted dress like the one I styled from Dorothy Perkins.
