To be perfectly honest, I don’t think this is my best look. I’m PMSing, breaking out like mad, and was very uninspired when I came up with this one. But hey, I’m already 10 weeks into my Project 52 – I can’t quit now! But this is the only photo I will post because I swear, I look so ugly in the rest and it would be a disservice to show unflattering photos of myself. Anyway, to create this look, I literally just sat down in front of my mirror and played with the first few colors that caught my eye. It turned out pretty okay, I suppose, but it’s not a particularly flattering look on me. Then again, this Project 52 isn’t about making me look pretty – it’s supposed to encourage me to try out new color combinations and techniques!

Eyes:
Yellow-green eyeshadow from the Dollface 88 Color Palette (this one was so hard to work with)
All other eyeshadow colors from the Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows
MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack
Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Flipside
Lips:
Nyx Round Lipstick in Chloe (no, this isn’t the fuchsia lipstick I’m crazy about)
I really should start practicing on other people, but I don’t have the confidence to do shoot makeup yet. I wish my sister were the partying type so that I could practice my smokey eye, but she doesn’t go out often and rarely wears makeup whens he does.

Lauren dear, is the Dollface 88 Palette worth it? In regards to pigmentation, easiness in blending, etc.? You mentioned that it’s “hard to work with”, what does that mean? Thinking if I’m getting one in the Super Sale bazaar today :)
The bright colored ones are mostly matte, which are very powdery, chalky, and difficult to build up. The neutrals are not bad though, and I hear the shimmer palette is pretty okay :)
Nice look! I love bright liners, hehe.
You’re totally right about the Dollface palette. I bought one months ago and have barely used it because the colors are so chalky. Ugh… talk about a waste of cash. :(
The neutrals are actually pretty pigmented and workable, but I got the palette for the colors. :(
it’s actually soooo cute. made me smile so big when i saw the first pic.
wish i have your eyes. ano tawag dun? wala akong “talukab”. so eye make up isn’t much fun for me.
Aww thanks! Hmm do you mean the crease? It’s still possible to do makeup even without that! Just search for tutorials on Youtube, there are a lot of Asian makeup gurus who can show you how. :)
@ Lauren: Very colorful makeup, it’s something fresh =) Hope you post the outfit that came with it. =) And yep, the color palette, medyo chalky & pigmentation is so-so.
@ Denise: It’s talukap, I would know kasi I don’t have that either =P Kainis no? You’re sooo cute! =D
Thanks for the tip ladies! I’ve been contemplating getting their palettes for months now! I’m definitely not getting one. Your lips are so adorable Lauren!!! That color is so bagay on you!
Thanks! Not all the palettes are bad though. Just stay away from those with matte shadows. :)
wow! the eye makeup tutorial is gorgeous! I totally love how tropical and summery the palette feels.
RE your comment on my blog… I totally agree about the too many fashion events to write about thing! I’ve basically just started taking/editing one picture for each event i go to whether or not I talk about it specifically or not. It’s slightly easier to find time to post that way, although I do still feel like I haven’t said nearly enough at the end of super lengthy posts. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to actually read my post!
Aww, don’t mention it! I’m such a fan of your blog, I feel flattered that you take time to visit and comment at mine. :D
I love your make-up!You look gorgeous :)
