My invite to the The Body Shop Originals Relaunch told me to come in something “80′s pop”, and I’m one of those people who take event dress codes pretty seriously. :P I don’t own blouses with bulky shoulder pads, so I chose the next best thing – a technicolor polka-dot empire tunic from ukay, and textured purple leggings from YRYS. With the exception of the leggings, everything I wore that day was thrifted.
As if my outfit weren’t colorful enough, I decided to slap on the three brightest shades from my new Stila All Doll’d Up Palette. Blue eyeshadow was everywhere during the 80′s and I figured if my outfit didn’t send the message across, my makeup will!
So yeah, this is how I looked last Friday. It was my first time to wear colorful eyeshadow in public and I was paranoid that it might smudge, smear or fade; in fact, I kept checking my eyes every two minutes during the entire ride to Galeria. I guess I was needlessly worried about how it would turn out because I received so many compliments for my eye makeup during the event; even Shen liked how it looked! I freaking love this palette and will be posting my review and swatches in a few days.
Wore the usual Ellana foundation and finishing powder, my Nars Orgasm Blush, and my new Nyx Smokey Look lip gloss. I love my Nars blush but it barely shows in pictures, even when I put a lot of it. I think I’ll need a more pigmented shade for evening wear. The Nyx Smokey Look lip gloss arrived in the mail an hour before I left, and I was pleased to find out how good it was at toning down my lips when I wear heavy eye makeup. My only complaint is that it has this weird perfume-y smell. Anyone else notice this? Seriously, why add fragrance to lip gloss? It doesn’t make any sense. On the other hand, my boyfriend did approve of how my lips tasted when I kissed him, so maybe I shouldn’t be complaining.
Love it! True 80′s pop, haha. For some reason, I’m reminded of Betty from the Archie’s, lol. Can’t wait for the eyeshadow review!

YAY! Someone else other than me wears blue makeup! I can see at least two colors there, but I’m guessing more like three colors. Am I right? :)
I love blue eye makeup! Colorful makeup, really, but I don’t have a lot of occasions to wear them.
And yup, those are three colors. I used a different blue for the undereye. :)
